The Opportunity

 

Tullow is offering an exciting opportunity within the Logistics & Materials team. We are looking for a dynamic Inventory Management Coordinator to join us on a Permanent basis, located at our office in Takoradi, Ghana.

 

Job Purpose

The role assists in financial control of all Tullow Ghana owned material inventories in support of Tullow Ghana operating assets with primary focus on FPSO operations (Floating Production Storage & Operations). 

 

Understand and conforms to existing inventory accounting requirements set by Tullow Ghana Finance team, JV (Joint Venture), and Material Management Warehouse internal procedures and work processes.

 

This role is expected to develop, articulate, and execute inventory strategies in support of the Business.

 

Responsible for inventory optimization, controls, analysis, and reporting with emphasis on Continuous Improvement.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • ct as an SME and point of contact in area of Inventory Management within the Logistics and Materials team and its stakeholders.
  • Supports and executes on-going analysis and optimization of inventory stocking level settings to ensure alignment of the Business demand and inventory holding account budget.
  • Ensure highest level of quality with regards to the data integrity of each Inventory Master (IM) Record.
  • Manages IM scope of the Materials Master Request sharepoint process.
  • Performs, monitor, and ensures timely inputs of daily inventory transactions (receipts, issues, transfers, adjustments, etc.).
  • Recommends and coordinate with the Business stocking level adjustments.
  • Manage daily MRP (Material Requirement Planning) reports, review and analyze the report output data to make informed inventory replenishment decisions.
  • Assist with updating, development, and implementation of Tullow Ghana Inventory Management procedures and work processes.
  • Facilitate and coordinate execution of the Tullow Ghana materials disposal process.
  • Assist with evaluation of all excess materials returns: Work Orders, Turnarounds, Projects and determine appropriate disposition.
  • Work closely with the Warehouse team to execute on-going stock-check process utilizing Maximo Cycle-Count process.
  • Identify and monitor Material Management Warehouse Key Performance Indicators that tracks and communicate progress on inventory and warehouse.
  • Supports integration of Tullow Ghana Maximo with existing SAP inventory system.
  • Work closely with Maximo Admin on Continuous Integration of the existing Maximo system.

 

 Experience & Education

 

Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering.

 

Skills

  • 5+ years demonstrable experience in Inventory Management field preferably within O&G or related industry.
  • Good analytical and numeracy skills coupled with attention to detail and strong work ethics is essential.
  • Strong interpersonal skills effective communication, and ability to work effectively within functional matrix organization and influence leadership and stakeholders.
  • Hands-on experience with Maximo and/or SAP a plus. 
  • Working proficiency in MS Office basic software tools such as Word, Excel, Power Point, etc. required.
  • Working knowledge Business Objects, Power BI, or similar reporting tools a plus.
  • Previous experience within an oil and gas or mining operating environments a plus.
  • Familiarization with equipment and materials employed in oil & Gas industry a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
